Network Development Project Update

The first phase of the project, the baseline exercise, has provided the most accurate picture to date of GTA
England member’s current activity in terms of learners, employer relationships and geographical coverage.
This is a critical step, not just for this project, but in enabling GTA England to better support members by
sharing this information with key stakeholders. Data has now been collected from 22 GTA England members.
These 22 organisations currently engage with some 22,600 employers, 90% of who are SME’s while
supporting over 12,000 apprentices.

Phase 2 of the project is now underway and activity includes:

  • Dedicated support to members to support their growth plans
  • Support to members in preparing and submitting bids to support their growth plans
  • Leading a project to grow the number of Higher Apprenticeships being delivered across the network
  • Working with LEPs to raise awareness of GTAs in the regions
  • Supporting the GTA Board with their strategic growth plans to strengthen the GTA network and brand
