Free Blended Learning Resources for Members: Session 28th January 2022

Members & Employers - Get in touch to register

Increasingly OFSTED are paying attention to the delivery of blended learning in inspections; there's an expectation that this is available and delivered well. Indeed, Paul Joyce our OFSTED partner, explained at conference that great delivery is a feature expected to be present in the awarding of an outstanding grade.

This session is your opportunity to see the types of resources developed by members and those from the Blended Learning Consortium in the brand new GTA England Moodle. Existing content creators amongst members will also be in attendance as we also aim to identify the topics in which to develop resources in 2022.

This activity is aligned with the roll-out of the GTA England Engineers Mate App which will also be demonstrated so you can see how delivery staff and Apprentices can also access the learning resources.

As ever, full training and support will be given to those participating in this crucial activity.

This free session will take place on the 28th January 2022 at 10am.

The Board are so committed to this area of our work that we have identified cash resources from Reserves to support you all.

Over the past 10 months GTA England has been pleased to chair a group of Engineering sector employers and specialists to develop a Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard. This apprenticeship is to replace the current pathway 13 – Technical Support Technician in the Engineering Technician Standard (ST0457). Following approval of the occupational proposal by the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education in August 2023, we would like to invite you to comment on the Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Standard before it is finalised for submission for Government approval. A copy of the standard is attached to this post which defines a series of duties commonly undertaken in the sector, along with the knowledge, skills and behaviours associated with each duty. Please use the link below to access the short survey to provide your views on the standard, including any suggestions for changes which you would wish to see to make the standard useful to your business. Responses will be treated in confidence. Please complete the survey before the close of business on 27 October 2023 SURVEY LINK: h ttps://forms.microsoft.com/e/jKK2Uyrkd4 Please click here to view the ST1395 E&M Support Technician Standard
